Closed Roads

Taking place on Sunday 14th April, before the Brighton Marathon and BM10k, BM Ride will be the first ever mass participation, city-centre, ride in Brighton on closed roads. Cyclists of all abilities will have the exclusive opportunity to enjoy the sights of Brighton city centre and the seafront over a 50km distance as never before; traffic free. View the route map.

This will be an exciting new addition to one of the UK’s favourite sporting events at Brighton Marathon Weekend, which already welcomes over 15,000 participants each year to its running events and over 150,000 spectators.

Get Involved

We anticipate high demand for the inaugural event and we will only be accepting 1,000 general registrations. This is a fantastic way to showcase your club and for riders to get involved with the local community.

The course and nature of the event is inclusive, meaning that all members of the club can get involved. Whether using the event to get novice riders more comfortable or incorporating it into a longer training ride, the BM Ride offers a great opportunity to bring riders closer together in a new and fun way.

Club members can register as individuals or a representative from the club can speak to Will Gray if you would like to get involved as a group.

You can view the terms & conditions of entry here.

Volunteering at BM Ride

New for this year, The BM Ride, a 50KM course which will take place on the same day as the marathon and 10k event and incorporates a lot of the same route. We are looking for a strong energetic team to support with the Start / Finish of the event as well as support in key areas of the Velo Village. It is here that riders will check-in, seek advice and information whilst soaking up the atmosphere, enjoying the local concession offerings, partners and entertainment
