In previous years many race packs have not been received on time with Brighton Marathon Weekend participants using the postal service. This has led to an increase in work load for the team at the most critical period before the event and to frustration for our participants. To ensure that we do not have these problems in the future we have decided to ask runners, or a friend, a member of their family, a running buddy or a colleague to collect the number instead. This should ensure that every runner wakes up on race day morning with the correct information, number, race chip and kit bag. You can find more information about this here.
What is the Beach Village?
The Beach Village is a 3-day event in its own right, taking place across the entire weekend. It will open on the Friday, comprising race pack collection, retail, massage and food & drink as well as the Charity Village and big screen.
What are the road closures that will be in place?
Full details of Road Closures are available on the travel page of our website here
I would like to volunteer at the event, how can I apply?
Volunteer registration will open in January 2022. Please keep an eye on our volunteer page for more information.
I have a general entry, can I still raise money for charity?
Absolutely! We have teamed up with JustGiving; find out more here.
I am coming along as a spectator, where is the best place to see the runners?
We have lots of great spots for spectators to join in and cheer on the runners. You can find out more on viewing points, the Beach Village, and the best place to meet runners after the race when our official Event Programme is published about a month before the event.
How will I be kept up to date leading up to race day?
We keep our participants up to date with regular emails and newsletters throughout the year. This will include vital information relating to race day so please do be sure to read them. If you unsubscribe, we cannot guarantee you will receive the most up to date information about the event. Please also keep an eye out on the website and follow us on Facebook,Instagram and Twitter.
How sustainable is the event?
We try to be as sustainable as we can be in the production of the Brighton Marathon Weekend. Read more about our efforts here.
How do I get my Race Pack for the event?
We do not send Race Packs to our participants. Race Packs must be collected from the Brighton Marathon Beach Village on the beach at Madeira Drive, on Friday 8th and Saturday 9th April 2022. More information can be found here.
