If you still haven’t received it by Thursday 31st March, please first check your junk mail / clutter or social inboxes before contacting: office@brightonmarathon.co.uk You can also log into your account online at http://raceroster.com and download your confirmation and QR code from there.

If due to unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to collect your Race Pack, you can arrange for a friend or family member to collect it for you. The person picking up your Race Pack must present:

  1. The runner’s confirmation email (this is the email that includes a QR code)
  2. Written authorisation for the collector to collect the Pack, signed by the runner – you can download a Race Pack release form here.
  3. A colour copy or original of the runner’s photo ID and a note of the runner’s postal address
  4. That person must also present their own photo

For any other queries about your pack – if you lose it, or it is missing anything, please head to the Information Point within the Beach Village or at the Start on Race Day.

BRIGHTON MARATHON MEMBERS

If you are a Brighton Marathon Member who has transferred to the BM10k, you are still able to have your race pack posted to you. You have been contacted to confirm whether your race pack will be delivered to you or whether you have opted to still collect this from the Beach Village.

Please email memberships@brightonmarathon.co.uk with any queries.

THE WAVE CHOICES AND QUEUES WILL BE MARKED AS FOLLOWS:

You will be able to select your Wave upon collecting your Race Pack. Join the queue for the Wave you wish to start in.

Do not worry about the finish time you indicated when signing up for the event – you can choose your Wave according to the time you think you will now finish, having completed your training.

If your chosen wave is already full, you will be allocated the next available, slower wave.

The below are estimated start times for the waves.

KEY POINTS TO CONSIDER WHEN CHOOSING YOUR WAVE

Be honest. Please only select a wave true to your ability. If you start in a wave that contains participants beyond your fitness, you risk people pushing past you during the race or getting frustrated with you if you are blocking their way.

Be sensible. Starting in the wave that corresponds with your predicted finish time means that you will be surrounded by others who are moving at your pace, which will help support you as you cover the 26.2 miles.

If you wish to run with friends, we ask that you both select the same estimated finish time at Race Pack Collection. Please select the longer estimated finish time. E.g if you are estimating 50 – 60 minutes and your friend is estimating over 70 minutes, please select the over 70 minutes finish time. You must have the same estimated finish time (and therefore bib colour) to start together.

If you are wearing fancy dress, we suggest selecting a slower wave as in previous bullet point.

If you are an unaccompanied wheelchair participant, you will start in a corral on the tarmac, which will set off at the back of the race. If you have any queries or concerns about this, please contact the team: office@brightonmarathon.co.uk

WHAT’S IN MY RACE PACK?

1) RACE NUMBER

  • This will be provided when you go to Race Pack Collection, with safety pins so that you can attach it to your top on Race Day.
  • Your race number is the six digit number
  • Your race number is the same colour as your Start Wave
  • Your race number is the same colour as the baggage queue to drop your kit bag off to at the Bag Drop station in the Beach Village
  • The letter on your race number indicates the Baggage Collection Area your bag will be in at the Finish.

E.g. If you had the race number pictured below you would head to the BLUE Bag drop zone in the Beach Village to drop off your bag. At the Finish, you would collect your bag from ‘Collection Point B’ in the Blue Baggage Collection Area.

2) TIMING CHIP

  • Your timing chip is attached to the back of your running number.
  • If you lose your running number, please go to an Information Point at the Start or in the Beach Village.
  • Your finishing time will be worked out based on your chip time – and your chip time starts when you cross the start line, and not when the first runners start.

3) OFFICIAL RACE SHIRT

  • After collecting your Race Pack you will be directed to the Race T-shirt collection point.
  • You will be able to try this on in the marquee and swap it if the size is incorrect.
  • If you opted not to collect an official T-shirt but to plant a tree with Trees Not Tees instead, please DO NOT try to collect an official T shirt. Our staff will be checking against registration information.

4) KIT BAG AND LABEL

  • You will be given a reusable kit bag for any belongings that you wish to collect at the finish on race day.
  • The bag is resealable so can be reused after the event
  • Do not swap your bag with anyone else of a different colour – the sticker is colour coded to match your race number and collection point
  • Affix your race number sticker to the bag
  • The kit bag excluding handles, will be 600mm x 450mm, enough for a fresh pair of trainers and some clothes

5) PRE-EVENT GOODY BAG

You will also collect your official Goody Bag before the event. Your goody bag will contain a range of products and some food and drink items. Rest assured, you will still receive fuel and food items after finishing, such as HIGH5, an Aquapax 500ml water carton and fruit.

Please note: If you have any allergies, please check any food or drink products for ingredients before consuming.
