Brighton Marathon is a qualifying race for the Abbott WorldMarathon Majors (AWMM) Wanda Age Group World Rankings, which comprise more than 350qualifying races in which athletes in nine separate age groups can compete in marathons across the world to earn a global ranking.
In a new format for 2023, athletes will be ranked according to their single fastest time in a qualifying event, which includes the BrightonMarathon.
2023 qualifying times
- Age group 40-44: Male 02:35 | Female 03:05
- Age group 45-49: Male 02:42 | Female 03:11
- Age group 50-54: Male 02:48 | Female 03:21
- Age group 55-59: Male 02:57 | Female 03:48
- Age group 65-69: Male 03:26 | Female 04:06
- Age group 70-74: Male 03:40 | Female 04:35
- Age group 75-79: Male 04:06 | Female 05:05
- Age group 80+: Male 04:40 | Female 05:25
Any athlete who is registered at AbbotWMM.com and achieves the Automatic Qualifying Time for their age group will receive an immediate invitation for the 2024 AbbottWMM Wanda Age Group World Championships.
