When signing up for the Brighton Marathon, BM10k or BM Ride, all participants agreed to collect their Race or Rider Pack from the Beach Village on the Friday or Saturday before Race Day.

Collecting your pack will give you peace of mind that you are ready and give you a chance to enjoy all the excitement and anticipation ahead of the big day with thousands of fellow participants.

Race Pack Delivery

If you are a Brighton Marathon Member or have purchased an entry using our friends & family discount code via one of our Members then you have the *option for your race pack to be delivered.

*Race packs can only be delivered to the Members address and not directly to any participants who have entered using a F&F discount code.

Where and when?

The Race and Rider Pack Collection marquee will be located in the Beach Village on Brighton beach, just east of Brighton Palace Pier. Head to the pier and walk along the prom towards the Marina. There will be limited parking in the immediate area, so we advise walking or taxi drop off.

Collection will be available at the below times :

  • Friday 8th April 2022: 11am – 7pm
  • Saturday 9th April 2022: 10am – 6pm

(If you live in Brighton or close by, please try to visit on the Friday to avoid longer queue times.)

When you arrive, queuing lanes will be clearly marked and you should choose the lane that is relevant to your event. Once inside the marquee choose the lane according to your predicted finish time, now you have completed your training.

  • Your paper race number and safety pins to attach it to your top
  • Your race T Shirt – please don’t swap this with anyone else
  • Timing chip

Pre-Event Goody Bags

Participants will collect their goody bag at the same time as their Race or Rider Pack. Fuel and food items will still be available after finishing but your goody bag items will be handed out pre event.

This change has been made because:

  • You will have to carry less after your run or ride
  • Alleviates pressure on our Volunteer Team in a very busy area
  • Ensures you don’t miss out on any goody bag items

Further information on these items and baggage will be included in the Participant Instructions, which will be sent to you ahead of the day by email and available on the ‘Participant’ page on the web site.

What do I need to bring?

  • Your confirmation email / QR code
    • This was sent to you when you signed up. Please either bring a printed paper copy or save it to your iPhone / smartphone to show to our staff.
    • Your runner confirmation email will be re-sent to you by email before the event. Check back for send dates here.
    • If you still haven’t received this by 28th March, please first check your junk mail / clutter or social inboxes before contacting: [email protected]
  • A photo ID (such as a passport or drivers licence)
    • A colour photocopy will be acceptable. If you do not have a photo ID, please bring with you 2 x proofs of address dated within three months e.g. a utility bill or bank statement

If you can’t collect your Pack

If due to unforeseen circumstances, you are unable to collect your Race or Rider Pack, you can arrange for a friend or family member to collect it for you. The person picking up your pack must present:

Marathon and 10k Start Corrals

On arrival at the Race Pack Collection marquee, please join the Brighton Marathon queue. You can choose the lane that corresponds to the time you predict you will finish now you have completed your training. Do not worry if this is different to the time you submitted when signing up. The desks and queues will be colour coded to match the Start Corral / finish time you choose.

If your chosen corral is already full, you will be allocated the next available, slower time.

Be honest. Please only select a corral true to your ability. If you start in a corral that contains participants beyond your fitness you risk people pushing past you during the race or getting frustrated with you if you are blocking their way.

Be sensible. Starting in the corral that corresponds with your predicted finish time means that you will be surrounded by others who are moving at your pace, which will help support you as you cover the 26.2 miles.

If you wish to run with friends, we ask that you both enter into the corral that corresponds to the person with the slower predicted finishing time among your group.

If you are wearing fancy dress, we suggest selecting a slower corral.

If you are an unaccompanied wheelchair participant, you will start in a corral on the tarmac, which will set off at the back of the race. If you are an accompanied wheelchair participant, then you may start in any wave with your accompanying runner or assister.

If you have any queries or concerns about this, please contact the team: [email protected]
